While we provide guidance in probate avoidance as part of estate planning, many concerns about probate administration are based upon a misunderstanding of the process, and how the interests of the beneficiaries are affected.

After the death of an individual, there are steps that must be taken to settle the affairs of the deceased, and handle the disposition of their assets. The laws governing the administration of probate estates and trusts provide a mechanism to ensure that these steps are performed properly.

A substantial part of our practice is devoted to representing personal representatives (executors), trustees and beneficiaries in conducting the administration of probate and trust matters, including those handled through the courts.
